Health Ministries at Bethlehem Lutheran Church

This life, therefore, is not godliness but the process of becoming godly, not health but getting well, not being but becoming, not rest but exercise.  We are not now what we shall be, but we are on the way.  The process is not yet finished, but it is actively going on.  This is not the goal but it is the right road.  At present, everything does not gleam and sparkle, but everything is being cleansed.

~Martin Luther

“...Go and do likewise.”

Luke 10:37

Throughout scripture, God calls people of faith to healing.  Health Ministry and Faith Community Nursing cultivate relationship with individuals and congregations to encourage, educate and equip people to build and sustain healing ministries.

God wants everyone to be whole

Jesus sent his disciples out to preach, teach and heal in his name.  God calls his church to do the same by offering a visible and intentional ministry of healing for the whole person.  The scope includes not only physical healing, but mental and spiritual healing as well.
